FROM THE DESK OF MRS. PEREZ

Dear Parents,

The third and fourth graders have been working very hard.  I am trying to get your child to be more responsible for their work as well as for how they use their time.  Responsibility is important to teach at this grade level.  A lot of time has been wasted not listening.  I find myself repeating what I say over and over and still not being heard.  You can help me and your child by practicing this at home.  They are also leaving things home.  Please have them get thier backpacks ready for school the night before.  Now is the time for responsibility.  Give them chores to do.  Helping at home is what you do when you are part of a family.

ARRIVAL TIME: We do start class at 8:30 sharp.  I would really appreciate it if everyone could be on time.  It is distracting and disturbing for children to be walking in when class has already started.

READING CONTRACTS: Your child will be getting a new reading contract on Monday.  Please be sure that you are initialing these, and that they are doing the reading.  This is being graded.

MEMORY WORK:  We have finally finished with the books of the Bible.  Next week we will have Bible verses to learn.  Memory work helps your child learn to study as well as learn the Word of God.  Please take time to help them practice this nightly.

Blessings,

Mrs. Perez
