Trinity's youth work together to maintain and strengthen relationships with one another, support each other in living a Christian life, forgive one another and provide service to Trinity and the community. The group is open to all high school aged young people, including 8th grade. Friends are always welcome.
Through
Youth Bible Class, Trinity's young people study God's Word on a weekly basis, as week as apply the Bible's teachings to the events of daily life.
Annual events include...
The Summer Retreat - A time to renew and strengthen friendships and have a lot of fun. This is usually for four days near the end of July at
Green Lake Conference Center in Green Lake, WI.

Great Wolf Lodge and skiing at
Cascade Mountain.
Soup 'n' Bread - During Advent and Lent, the youth prepares and serves soup, bread, grilled cheese sandwiches and beverages in the parish hall prior to the Wednesday evening services. While it is a free-will donation event that supports the annual retreats, it is also a service that enables busy families to come to Trinity for quick fellowship and a delicious hot meal and stay for for mid-week worship.
Easter Breakfast - Each Easter as the congregation gathers to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord, Trinity's youth help to extend that celebration with a time of food and fellowship between the Easter morning services. It's a hot breakfast full of kid and adult-friendly foods, prepared and festively served by the youth group in the gymnasium. The free-will donation helps defray retreat costs.
Food Collection for the Needy - Once or twice a year, Trinity's youth organize a door-to-door drive to gather food and hygiene items for those in difficult circumstances. This takes place annually near the end of October and occasionally at another time set during the year. The items gathered are distributed through First Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Chicago (Trinity's Urban Linkage partner) and Trinity's own emergency food pantry.
These regular events, along with game nights, outings, progressive dinners, clean up projects, spring plant and Christmas wreath sales, combine with youth participation in the ongoing service, fellowship and worship life of Trinity to help keep these young people on the solid foundation of Christ.
