Trinity Lutheran School
Trinity students in 3rd through 8th grade can learn about sustainable gardening, plant seeds, and harvest produce. During non-gardening months they learn how to cook and bake with the fruits (and vegetables) of their labor, study honeybees, and undertake other agricultural pursuits, They occasionally help weed Trinity's plant beds, and turn lunch scraps into plant food via composting. At Christmastime they decorate a tree on the Prairie Path with bird friendly ornaments and sometimes, items for the needy in the community. During the spring, Garden Club holds a sale featuring the seedlings they have nurtured over the winter. Mrs. Jennifer Gronwold always has interesting and educational opportunities for Trinity's budding "green thumbs."
